Our Beginning
Blk Child Welfare was birthed from a group of Black professionals who work in varying fields of public and private social service sectors who believe that better outcomes can be achieved for Black parents, children, families & professionals by centering race in advocacy.

Our Mission & Vision
Mission: Blk Child Welfare promotes a network of care so that Black children and their families can be well & whole and that Black social service professionals can be responsive and effective in service of Black communities.
Vision: Black Children Are Well- Blk Child Welfare will be central to a movement that lifts up the needs of Black children, families and professionals to improve well- being outcomes for Black communities.
Get Involved
The goal is beyond closing the gap but also establishing benchmarks that lift up all populations while paying close attention to those often excluded. We want success for all families as systems that are often failing communities of color, are actually failing us all.
It is through our collective investments of time, talent, treasure and advocacy that we will change this narrative. A new history will be created.
